The underlying problem with the scrum abuse in most cases is because the so called Scrum Masters are non-technical and they do not understand the situation well. They are given the title by passing a few exams online and are certified as Scrum Masters. And then there are a few Scrum Masters who come from the Waterfall model and fail to understand how Agile works. It is a perfect recipe for disaster.
